Both containers & lids can be can be used to reheat food (400 F / 200 C). We recommend covering them loosely with foil instead of the lids. They are dishwasher-safe & freezer-safe. Do these containers keep food warm or cold? No. TAVVA containers are not insulated, so they won't keep food warm or cold. Simply pack them in an insulated lunch bag to keep at temperature for longer. Can I warm food in TAVVA stainless steel containers? Yes, but be careful! Stainless steel is oven safe and foods can be warmed in our containers up to about 400 degrees Fahrenheit. A toaster oven also works great! Use over a camp stove is also acceptable. Can I microwave these? Stainless steel is NOT for use in the microwave. Our containers are not recommended for freezing foods either since freezing swells liquids and the expansion will split the steel.
