The lids store under the containers, close securely, and are still easy to open. Nice sizes. I particularly love the 2-quart containers. Liquids don't spill and smells don't leak out either. Food stays fresh for a long time. The freezer containers help keep frozen food nice.They aren't too expensive, so if one gets used for a craft project or goes home with a kid or a friend, I don't have to bug them (much) to return the containers.Of course, you can't put super hot food in them, but that's the only down side. Top shelf of the dishwasher only.I will continue to buy Gladware over any other plastic container. I'm delighted that they are available on Amazon.
